Hello,
Am interested in knowing how others dealt with the dilemma in choosing between surgery and radiotherapy please.
Just turned 70, diagnosed with locally advanced pc. Two years ago I had a biopsy that showed as clear so have been taken by surprise by this new result.
I am really struggling and feel somewhat incapable of making a decision - and know this is stupid. I have been told that either treatment is equally effective in my circumstances and to make my decision based on how I feel about the possible side-effects and so on and the literature I've been given.
I would really like to hear from others who had this dilemma and how you dealt with it.
Thanks, David
Hello David (DC123)
I have replied to you on the other thread - however here's a link to the NICE guidelines when offering treatment for Prostate Cancer - this includes details of the outcomes for each treatment.
NICE Recommendations - Prostate Cancer.
I hope this helps.
Best wishes - Brian.
