Hi
For those of you who went down the surgery route, approximately how long did you have wait from diagnosis to surgery?
Many thanks ️
Hi Dogs4me,
I was initially told my wait would be 2-3 months, but to my surprise 2 weeks later I got a call to say “your appointment is 7th July” - less than 2 weeks away!
Diagnosis was early March, so it will be roughly 4 months from diagnosis to surgery.
I am happy to not have a long wait, so I’ve been doing my pelvic floor exercises as often as possible.
I will write up how it goes.
Thank you Beard
just trying to get a feel for the wait time asI think my LH will want to go for surgery if he gets the option. However I am worried about the cancer getting worse in the meantime. He has a 37mm lesion which looks as though it is right up against the prostate capsule. His biopsy is on 15th July so don't know Gleason score yet but his PSA was 57.
good luck for 7th. I really hope it goes well for you
I had an extra wait as my paperwork was misfiled over Christmas and had to chase in January. But once I said yes to surgery, I signed the paperwork straight away and was told 8-9 weeks. A couple of weeks later I got a message that it was scheduled for 4th March. So in the end about 4 1/2 weeks. From signature to surgery
