Hi
I had been suffering a lot from my hormone therapy injections, both mentally and physically, trying to do everything I was told and read to do, I exercise, sleep reasonably well, eat okay but still felt weak and mentally down, I was dreading my third one, I even asked my GP if I could be castigated, he laughed and said he might be able to do it as our local NHS would be reluctant to do it.
My sister suggested that I get a vitamin B12 blood test as a lack of it can result in a lot of what I was going through so why not get it done again
I had had one about three years ago and the result showed I was low on B12 and give a course of six injection over 2 weeks.
So down to my GP who looked back at the results from the first blood test and couldn't understand why with my families history of a lack of vitamin B12 I hadn't been put on a three monthly injection for the rest of my life.
So the test was done and week later I was called to see my GP who gave me the first of 6 B12 injections over the next two weeks, telling me I will, after these injections have one every three months for the rest of my life.
I have now had 4 of the injections with two to go and what a change they have made, I have lost what I think others call 'brain fog' and although my PC treatment has seen me loose a lot of muscle and weakened my physical capabilities I am now back to my old self, life is good once again.
Both my wife, son and my GP have noticed a huge change in me in such a short time.
