Hello Bg65
I had bad hot flushes. I cured them with Sage Tablets. Checked with my team and they were fine with me taking them. I use "Menoforce" - just type it into Amazon, they are £35.99 for 90 (3 months worth). H & B sell them in jars of 30 but are dearer. Be aware, they don't work for everyone but stopped mine in 10 days. I am still on them.
Best wishes - Brian.

Hi Bg65 . I took a combination of Sage and Evening Primrose Oil capsules (both from H&B), which worked for me. If the flushes are really bad you could ask the GP for Cyproterone Acetate or Provera but be aware that both of these carry an increased risk of Type2 diabetes (on top of that from the HT) so should be a last resort.
Hello Bg65 . Here are some tips for the mouth sores.

My husband also had hot flushes and he found that a couple of cups of sage tea a day helped him.

Hello BG,
Has your brother been in touch with the chemo unit for help with his problems? I had mouth sores which started off fairly mild after docetaxel cycle 1 but were much worse after cycle 2. The chemo unit doctor had a look and prescribed some mouthwash (can't remember the name) which helped considerably.
Derek.
