ADT possible side effect

  1. Hi sorry if i am doing the wrong thing starting a new subject not sure how to continue the thread.  We went for a review with radiotherapy re the very painful foot swelling.  They are adamant that it is not the radiotherapy and are running tests to try  and find the cause.  OH decided not to have yesterday's session as is concerned that it will make things worse and even more painful.   We are now looking into the HT possibly being the problem.   It appears that ADT can cause peripheral neuropathy and OH foot looks like the pictures available showing this . Also one of the side effects listed for zoladex is swelling of the feet.  Has anyone else experienced this?  The recommendation is to stop any medication that could be causing the issue to hopefully reverse the problem but as OH had the injection that lasts 12 weeks this isn't possible .  He will just have to wait until it gets out if his system.  We are going back today for test results and OH has to decide whether to try another session and see if by any chance it causes more irritation to the foot.   Sorry for rambling on I am just trying to get to the bottom of what's causing the problem before OH decides to stop all treatment
  • Hi

Mr BW has very sensitive feet since treatment, not as bad as you are describing but a constant minor issue.  He has Zoladex/Abiratetone. Previously RT, but think it’s a HT side effect.
    Hope that helps?
