So since 2018, my levels were undetectable til 2018, when there was a 0.01 rise, and today it has crossed the psychological line to 1.0
It is slow, and my consultant, London Based said back in July that they don't look into radiotherapy etc until 0.2
I thought it was 0.1, but gas anyone else had this experience, or are having it now?
I know I shouldn't worry, but guess what, I always worry where PC is concerned
Thanks for any wise insight
Anthony
My PSA started rising since last Feb. It hadn't gone above 1.0 yet but it was on it's way
It was doubling every three months so they have recently put me on Abiraterone and Olaparib in addition to the 3 month HT injections.
I'm not due another PSA test until January so I wont know what affect it has had.
They are doing other blood tests every month to make sure my blood count, liver and kidney function are OK
The side effects so far aren't fun
Fatigue from the HT and fatigue from the new treatment. Double fatigue - Great ;-)
Hi AntonB.
Good afternoon and welcome it's great to meet you today but I am sorry that it's under these circumstances but never mind we are a great bunch here.
Upon diagnosis in 2023 my PSA was 1000+ then within a matter of weeks following HT (tablets and injections) it dropped to single figures.
Yes my PSA has also been on the rise over the past 3mnts.
I had RT on the right side of my pelvis a few weeks ago as I was getting bone pain which worked really well calming down the pain.
Having been on HT since 2023 my next stage of treatment will be Chemo which I will be discussing on the 10th December with my consultant and we will go through the recent PSA numbers as well.
I hope that everything goes well for you my friend.
Prostate Worrier.
Thankyou PW
Weirdly, my consultant appointment is on the 10 th too ( Merry Christmas) so I will spare a thought for you too

Hi !
Sorry to see the rising PSA. You have written a PSA of 1.0 but I suppose you actually mean 0.1. I think after prostatectomy it’s 0.2 before they take action. Anyway it seems that it’s a slow rise and even if it’s a recurrence I really think a salvage radiation treatment to the pelvic area with short term hormone therapy will do the trick and deal with the cancer ’beast’ ones and for all in your case
Best wishes - Ulf
