Anyone using ivermectin for PC or someone with any kind if information about the use in PC?

  • Hi

Totally fascinating read, what a journey ! Well done.! The UK friend looks like he’s still taking HT -Apalutamide / Enzalutamide and Abiraterone are super strong types of HT - there’s two more that are similar but I cant remember their names . They work in a different way. He still looks like it’s working well though. Brilliant medication.

  • Hi !

No since after September 2023 he went off Firmagon but is still on Apalutamide with still < 0.1 in PSA. So very amazing respons with a person with advanced prostate cancer (diagnosed with bone mets).

Well, my travel continues and time will tell of course. Thanks for your kind words Slight smile

  • Apalutamide is a hormone treatment like Enzalutamide and Abiraterone . It’s for advanced prostate cancer. Super strong at keeping testosterone low. Great drug

  • Hi !

Well, actually Apalutamide is not suppressing Testosterone that much. It’s an inhibitor, inhibiting androgen receptors (AR), which means it blocks prostate cancer cells from using Testosterone basically and is doing it extremely well

It’s often used together with standard ADT (agonist and antagonist) which stops testicles from producing Testosterone and then Apalutamide stops prostate cancer cells from using what little Testosterone is left circulating

  • Agree ,never said ivermectin can be a standard treatment now ,maybe later, who knows ,after testing it may be used or not ,when we are diagnosed with this we try to find every possible ways .

  • Always talk to the doctor before anything.

  • How’s it going?

  • Sorry I didn't get notification of your message, it's going, psa drop to very significantly in just 3 week of abiraterone, and I have the appointment for the second opinion in Belgium this month ,the head is a little bit better, but still some questions to be answered, let's wait and see ,more hopeful, but still a bit scared. And about you ?
