Info on Enzalutamide

I have been on Zoladex for over 7 years and have learned to live with the many side effects. Chemo and RT (full story on my bio).  Recently my PSA started to rise through resistance and I am now on Enzalutamide (4x 40mg) as well.  It is early days (8 weeks) and I seem to be tolerating the new regime, but I am struggling with the additional fatigue that Enzalutamide has caused,  Is there anyone out there on a similar journey?  In particular

1. What PSA drop did you have and when was your lowest point (nadir)?

2. Were you able to reduce the dose once your PSA stabilised. My Oncologist indicated that they used high dose to start and might reduce but weren’t able to go from low to high.

3. If so, did your fatigue improve?

I know that there are lots of people on Enzalutamide but most seem to be on triplet therapy, so I am looking to identify just Zoladex for a period and then Xtandi.

Feel free to message me directly if you don’t want to go public.  Thanks in advance.

  • Hello David (

You know me - not on any treatment now and officially HT finishes on 6 December 2024 but I like to keep informed about what's going on. Here's a link to our official guide to Enzalutamide:

I am sure some of our wonderful Community members will be along with better answers than me.

Whilst I am on though - thank you for your continued support given to our Community, it's very much appreciated.

    Kind Regards - Brian
