Hello Murcao
A warm welcome to the Macmillan online Community - I am so sorry to find you here.
That's a high initial PSA, and as you say cancer contained in the gland - then I am curious as to where we have the lymph nodes being involved (having said that they though mine were!) - see my journey by clicking on my avatar for details.
We do need your TNM staging and Gleason score to help you more - these come from the biopsy although as Grundo has said - have you started on Hormone Therapy yet?
Best wishes - Brian.

Hello Murcao
Well that's a new one on me - and I have been around a while - but always learning!!
Do you have your TNM and Gleason Score from the biopsy please?
I know I had a high initial PSA of 182 and the cancer was still in the actual gland so i am keen to learn.
Best wishes - Brian.

Hello Murcao
So
T2 - It's not left the prostate gland.
N1 - it's in 1 or more lymph nodes - just how? If it's not left the gland!
Gleason 9 - So it's very aggressive.
I would have thought as Grundo said above you should have been started on Hormone Therapy with Radiotherapy to follow.
I would be asking your team for both a full explanation and a treatment plan.
Best wishes - Brian.

Hi Millibob !
Actually it’s possible to have a T2 N1. It’s definitely not common but with high-risk Gleason it’s possible. The T2, from my knowledge, is stil, well within the prostate and there is no signs of EPE or for that matter seminal vesicle invasion or actually that it has broken through the capsule into the bladder, rectum etc. (e.g. T4).
But still, a T2 and N1 still indicates regional lymph nodes and from what I know this should be able to be treated with ’curative intent’
Best wishes - Ulf
It's strange ,numbers ,I have 5 positive lymph nodes, according to urologist ,and here in the netherlands they say the limit to curative intent is maximal 4 ,go figure ,that's my thing ,must make sure 1 ,at least ,lymph node wasn't incorrectly diagnosed.
