Hi my name is Peter
I was having treatment for an overactive bladder with prostate blood test as part of treatment which came back at 7.7. I then had an ultrasound, GP said I had enlarged prostate but nothing of concern. Has MRI scan as part of pathway which has revealed lesions on prostate rated 4 and 5. Having a biopsy, no noted signs of other lesions throughout body. Notes 66.9% chance of prostate cancer and really worried and having bad anxiety and not sleeping, I have the constant peeing which I thought was my over active bladder no pain peeing small leaking and sometimes stop and start to finish,I've pretty much resigned myself to having prostate cancer and finding very tough to deal with like everyone with the horrible disease, any helpful advice would be much appreciated
Kind regards
Peter
Good morning
As always amazing information and so informative which helps so much ,I've just got to wait for the biopsy and hopefully things will become clearer, partner out with sisters tonight so she'll enjoy herself
Thanks again its very much appreciated
Hi Peter , my husband was T3a N0M0 ie no secondaries detected. He also had 2 tumours. One was pushing against the prostate wall and they were not sure whether it had gone through or was just making the wall bulge. They told us that if there is such a doubt they always treat at the more serious grade just to be sure. Re your wife - if she is like me and others on this forum, she will need every bit of support. I wept buckets in those first months!
so, where are we now? All treatment completed, somewhat anxious about forthcoming PSA test next week as that will be the first since stopping ht in May - but very much alive and kicking :)
I think my message would be that this is a life changing event and not a life ending event. It’s a wake up call - time to take stock and enjoy to the maximum what we have - families, friends, and all the opportunities that the future holds for us.,
Hi ya
