Hi my name is Peter
I was having treatment for an overactive bladder with prostate blood test as part of treatment which came back at 7.7. I then had an ultrasound, GP said I had enlarged prostate but nothing of concern. Has MRI scan as part of pathway which has revealed lesions on prostate rated 4 and 5. Having a biopsy, no noted signs of other lesions throughout body. Notes 66.9% chance of prostate cancer and really worried and having bad anxiety and not sleeping, I have the constant peeing which I thought was my over active bladder no pain peeing small leaking and sometimes stop and start to finish,I've pretty much resigned myself to having prostate cancer and finding very tough to deal with like everyone with the horrible disease, any helpful advice would be much appreciated
Kind regards
Peter
Hello Peter (Psb2024)
That's an interesting question and it all depends on the results from the biopsy. I started my journey as a T3aNXM0 Gleason 7 (4+3) and after a biopsy on the "chips" from my TURP operation was "promoted" to a T3aN0M0 Gleason 9 (5+4)!! .
I assume you know how the grading and scores work but here's a link to our guide to this-
I am just coming to the end of my 3 year journey as a T3a and if you click on my user name or avatar you can read all about it - (I did have a couple of other issues like almost dying etc)
I hope this helps.
Best wishes - Brian.

Hello Peter (Psb2024 )
I wish you well with your results on Friday - if it's a face to face meeting it's great to have someone with you as you don't always take everything in in one go - and ask for a copy of the meeting notes.
It all sounds like you will be joining me on the "Curative Pathway".
Best wishes - Brian.
