Hi my name is Peter
I was having treatment for an overactive bladder with prostate blood test as part of treatment which came back at 7.7. I then had an ultrasound, GP said I had enlarged prostate but nothing of concern. Has MRI scan as part of pathway which has revealed lesions on prostate rated 4 and 5. Having a biopsy, no noted signs of other lesions throughout body. Notes 66.9% chance of prostate cancer and really worried and having bad anxiety and not sleeping, I have the constant peeing which I thought was my over active bladder no pain peeing small leaking and sometimes stop and start to finish,I've pretty much resigned myself to having prostate cancer and finding very tough to deal with like everyone with the horrible disease, any helpful advice would be much appreciated
Kind regards
Peter
Good Morning Peter (Psb2024).
We are all different so don't all get all the side effects. For me Erectile Dysfunction was the first, almost right away, fatigue sneaked up on me and hot sweats hit me after a couple of months.
You will be fine - just carry on as normal - side effects to me were just an inconvenience - not a problem. Just try and keep as fit as possible.
Best wishes - Brian

Hi Psb2024,
I'm not sure whether tablets or injections are more prone to causing side effects & is probably more down to how individuals react to them.
In my case, it was about 1 month before I noticed anything (apart from a diminishing sex drive but no ED) but by then I had already had my first 3 monthly injection having been on the tablets for the previous 2 weeks.
Fingers crossed any you may get (& I stress the word may) will be on the mild side.
Best Wishes
Brian
Hi all
Had first prostrap injection today so things are moving in the right direction I'm sure some of the side effects will come but that's a small price to pay to eventually being cancer free probably be it a rocky road,
Asked the prostate nurse about the possibility of having the RT with a empty bladder as I know some guys on here had the Radiotherapy that way and my prostate buddy had the empty bladder treatment to, if any of the guys on here who had the RT on a empty bladder could let me know if they had the after affects of the bladder with the peeing situation
Best wishes
Peter
