Evening folks, Afre been diagnosed with Prostate Cancer in January and on HT done 3rd monthly injection, haven’t been great for 2 months with bad cough and wheezing went to doctor,4 antibiotics and a course of 3 day steroids which didn’t shift it,so she sent me for X-ray and then dye scan, went up to local hospital today for appointment with respiratory consultant.I’ve been diagnosed with lung cancer in left lung ,also in lymph nodes and also behind collarbones,I’ve to go for biopsy on Tuesday asking as my oxygen levels are ok as they need to put the camera down my throat so they can tell what cancer it is,to say it was a bombshell was an understatement as I was just coming to terms with my prostate cancer, but I’ll keep fighting as long as I can, thanks for listening Robert
Hi Robert,
Just checking to see how was the Tuesday appointment and how are you coping?
Lots of love
Dafna
Thanks just home from hospital after biopsy they took from collarbone as were unsuccessful last week from lung due to low oxygen levels,I also got a letter this morning about my prostate their delaying the RT for now as I’ve been on HT since April and being caught early so will be contained for now,as the lung more important to treat at the moment,so working in tandem which is hope
Hi didn’t go well as oxygen levels were low but was back down today which they took biopsies from lymph nodes in collarbone for happy as can be,wait patiently for results now
Hi Robert,
cross fingers the results will be better than expected. I admire your spirit and attitude which is your best ammunition. Please let us know.
Lots of hugs and love
Dafna
Not going to lie down to this disease, will fight it till my last dying breath xx
HI Robert, best wishes for your oncology appointment today and your biopsy results, good to hear your pulmonologist oncologist is working with your prostate team, I have a cardio/oncology partnership which has really helped, and I hope yours can work for you just as well if not better. best wishes.
Eddie
Hi Eddie I had a letter waiting for me when I got home saying my appointment was cancelled till November as they stated they’re happy with my results are low and caught early and with me on HT since April they would rather deal with the lung cancer first cheers Robert
