Evening folks, Afre been diagnosed with Prostate Cancer in January and on HT done 3rd monthly injection, haven’t been great for 2 months with bad cough and wheezing went to doctor,4 antibiotics and a course of 3 day steroids which didn’t shift it,so she sent me for X-ray and then dye scan, went up to local hospital today for appointment with respiratory consultant.I’ve been diagnosed with lung cancer in left lung ,also in lymph nodes and also behind collarbones,I’ve to go for biopsy on Tuesday asking as my oxygen levels are ok as they need to put the camera down my throat so they can tell what cancer it is,to say it was a bombshell was an understatement as I was just coming to terms with my prostate cancer, but I’ll keep fighting as long as I can, thanks for listening Robert
Hi Robert1.
Good evening, I am very sorry to hear that you haven't been that well for the past few months!!!!

Prostate Worrier.
Really sorry to hear this news. I hope you get some clear answers about the Lung Cancer, is it a possibility that it is Prostate Cancer that has spread to the lungs?
I hope they can get you underway with some treatment asap and you can start to feel a bit better.
beat wishes

Hi Robert, though it's nice to hear from you again, I am so sorry it's under these circumstances, as prostate metasteses are very rare to the lungs I am assuming it's a lung cancer. Robert often having two different cancer types has a better outlook than one that has spread, Can I ask where are you regarding your radiotherapy at the Beatson, my best wishes for you next Tuesday, and please let us know how you got on, It's good to see you have joined the lung cancer forum take care.
Eddie
Hello Robert.
Sorry that you find yourself with synchronous prostate and lung cancer and admire your fighting spirit. I agree with Eddie that often the outlook is better because the primary sites of each type of cancer can be dealt with according to the protocol for each individual cancer. All the best for Tuesday and let us know how you get on.
Morning Eddie, yes I’ve taken my 3rd HT last Thursday and have an appointment on the 8/8/24 with oncologist it’s funny as I see the Prostate Cancer as not as serious as this lung cancer if you know what I’m mean,it just came on that quick within 2 months and floored me,this morning’s the first walk I’ve been for 2 weeks but nackared now
Hello Robert
im so very sorry to hear about the double whammy. I hope that the biopsy goes well and that this permits the specialist to get a treatment plan sorted quickly for you. I think getting a clear picture of what’s wrong and how to tackle it is the difficult part, knowing what’s what gives us our sense of control back.
let us know how you get on?
sending you and your family my best wishes and every hope for a good outcome
