Hi all, my 20 sessions start on Monday 3rd June and wanted to thank you all for the very helpful advice.

It is very comforting to hear other peoples experiences as Cancer can be a very lonely place.

Fingers crossed and good health to you all.

  • Thank you, my journey is 40mins each way but my treatment will be done on an empty bladder so may not be to much of a problem hopefully.

  • Hi Budd - i think we are the only 2 on the whole Community who have been through RT with an empty bladder.

When I asked (at The Christie in Oldham) I was told they prefer an empty bladder as with a full one if it's not just right it can get in the way. An empty one clears the view of the prostate.

Best wishes for next week - Brian.

and laying on the sunbed is actually quite relaxing. Early days but I will update at end of first week.

Keep on keeping on folks x

  • That's the way to go.

Let's hope the next 18 are as good.

    Best wishes - Brian.

  • Glad to hear everything is going well.  It's strange how you soon get into a routine with going to & from the hospital with the treatment being the quick part of the trip.
