I have no been on for a while as I did my research, stood my ground and chased my options. As a consequence I am on the SABR, 5 dose radiotherapy trial. I was unlucky enough to be selected by the computer to have the prostate and nodes to be treated, but 5 visits over 2 weeks is better than 20 over 4 weeks. The outcome is expected to be the same. I do scans and things on Friday and it should all be over by the end of March. I will keep everyone briefed.

  • Hello

Good luck with the Radiotherapy - I had the good old 20 visits to "Zap" both the Prostate and Lymph nodes and only had a couple of minor issues.

I hope you sail through it  without and side effects- keep us posted as to your progress.

    Best wishes - Brian.

  • Thanks Juddy, I had a 3, 4 with a T3a or I woukd have stuck with AS. 4,3 is obviously more serious but if it stays in the prostate that is more hopeful. I take it you are not having HT?

  • I am staying on AS,  just going into the 3rd year, just had my PSA checked and it was 4.06 which for the size of my prostate is pretty normal. Will be due an MRI soon, plan is to stay on AS as long as PSA stays below 10 and MRI shows no significant change
