I hope they find the solution.
I'm in a similar boat
Original PSA was 383 in June
Had chemo and started HT injections every 3 months and last test was 0.26 but every time I have a PSA test I'm dreading if the result has gone up.
Good luck. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you
Hello Clamp A warm welcome to the online Prostate Cancer Community. I am sorry to find you here but you are in the right place for help and advice.
Your Consultant is right to order the further scans in light of the rise in PSA - but there are further treatments available to you - it's just a case of finding out what is happening and then fine tuning your treatment to fit in with the results of the 2 scans.
The "waiting game" is horrible and if you need that little bit of extra support may I make a few suggestions:
* Do you have a "Maggie's" near you - This is a support charity for anyone affected by cancer - it's a great place for a brew and a chat - details on this link - https://www.maggies.org/
* Your GP can help you with the anxiety caused by waiting.
* Anxiety UK can offer some great advice - again here's the link - https://www.anxietyuk.org.uk/
* Our helpline are great, not only about anxiety - you can also speak to someone to discuss your raised PSA - 0808 808 00 00 (8am to 8pm 7 days a week).
I hope the above helps and your wait for the tests is a short one with great results.
If I can do anything else for you please let me know.
Kind Regards - Brian.

Hello and a big welcome to you. I agree the waiting is the worst and our minds go into overdrive fearing the worst. Please use the links that Brian has suggested as often talking it through on your feelings can really help. Failing that we are all here for you
Hi Clamp.
A warm welcome.
It is disappointing when the PSA starts to rise after treatment but, as our oncologist says, there are plenty more tools in the toolbox. My husband is just gradually working through them.
If you are interested I have attached an easy to read summary of different options available.
