Husband has his daralutamide tablets from the hospital as they are too expensive to get from the GP and for the last month of being on them he has been given 12 weeks worth. Looking ahead to holidays next year he will run out before we get home on one of the holidays .Just wondering if anyone has been given more than 12 weeks or is 12 weeks some sort of cut off point. I could ring the oncology nurse but don't want her to think I am silly thinking so far ahead, at least you lot already know I am silly and over think everything
Hi Shar, Nothing silly about the question, but rather forethought & planning :) I can't specifically answer your question, although I would have though that the hospital could issue another round of 12 weeks tablets nearer the date you actually go on holiday to ensure continuity.
Best wishes
Brian
Hi Shar I think Buzzers is spot on - I know you like to be on top of the game but in most cases the NHS will only prescribe 8/12 weeks in front.
We tend to have long breaks and I am on 8 weeks supply. If I know my due date falls in my holidays I get my next 8 weeks brought forward - but the chemist isn't happy!!
Best wishes - Brian
