Hi All, I had RT April 2022 , my lowest PSA was 0.34 taken early August,
one year on its up to 2.4 , so I will have to be scanned, not sure if I
should be concerned, feeling okay , still working .
Just wondering if others have experienced this,
thanks Tony
Hi Tony
I haven't had this problem yet - I am only 6 months post RT. My understanding is that if your PSA rises more than 2 whole points after RT then they will look at what's the cause - I did check and notice you have had 5 PSA's after RT all rising, so a scan is the right course of action.
Keep us posted and let us know what's going on. I do hope it's a "blip" rather than an issue.
Best wishes
Brian.

Hi All,
I had my PMSA Pet scan on Monday, went in yesterday to see the doctor, the scan was clear,
I’m over the moon of course,
Will still have 3 monthly blood tests, as long as PSA stays under 5, I won’t need any more scans .
My stats at diagnosis Was PSA 203, stage T3a N1 M0 Gleason 4+3 , May 2021 .
I hope this helps guys in similar situation, there is hope
All the best
Tony
Hi Tony
That's magic - I bet as my kids say you are "well good" and so you should be. Your journey is almost a mirror image of mine and you are 6 months ahead of me. I have had a few "issues" along the way but reading your post makes me feel even more positive.
Long may the low PSA continue.
Best wishes
Brian.

Hi ,
Yesterday had my latest blood test result, PSA up from 2.4 to 5.12 , so I’m having another scan on the 2nd January,
I just don’t get it, I’ve been feeling well , I was really expecting a good result, and looking forward to the new year.
I was told if they find something there’s lots of options, I’m hoping that the scan will be clear like last time,.
Not the best update but I thought I would share.
regards Tony
Good Morning Tony
Not the best result just before Christmas but it's quite a rise in your PSA - you will be feeling great but - it's best to wait for the results of the test. As your team said there are plenty of options open to you.
My advice - easy said - put it to the back of your mind - enjoy Christmas and the New Year and then let's find out why your PSA is up.
Keep us posted.
Best wishes - Brian.

This is the news we all don’t want - even more so just before Christmas. I am pleased to hear though that you are having another scan very promptly. I really hope this will bring good news for you. Easier said than done, I know, but try to put it to the back of your mind until the New Year. You and your medical team are doing the right thing by checking and double checking. Do let us know how you get on.
Hi
thanks for your replies, I’m going to enjoy Christmas and new year, wait for results, you never know it may be good
I wish you all a merry Christmas and healthy new year
regards
Tony
