To say I'm gutted would be an understatement about coming off of olapirib. This medication has maintained my quality of life since Jan 2021. My next step is an offer of chemotherapy and have a meeting with oncology on 4th Oct to discuss this treatment. My issue is that its a long 6 weeks of chemo with only 2 -3 months of stopping cancer growing afterwards. I also don't like the idea of hair falling out!
Can anyone from their own experience let me know about your chemo experience and how long it keep cancer from growing. I also see this as my last line of defence what else may be offered after chemo?
Olaparib is being stopped due to a spread to pymph nodes. I'm OCa stage 4 with bone mets
TIA
