Hi all,
My dad is getting his biopsy results tomorrow following his biopsy on 31st dec, are there any questions he and my mum should ask?
My mum and I know it's cancer as we saw T3a on his MRI paperwork so waiting just to see what the gleason score is to be honest. My dad however, is still denying its cancer until he's officially told. He had a bone scan about 5weeks ago but no info on that so far, not sure if that's a good thing or not.
Thank you :)
Hi sophiejade89
Sorry to reply so late, he and your mum, should be asking about the scans and will there be any more forthcoming, also what ( if he has PC ) is the treatment plan ! And how it will be broken down eg chemotherapy followed by radiotherapy or enzalutamide or another cancer treatment, plus what would be a plan B for the future.
Stay safe
Joe
Thank you Joe :) I'll relay this to my mum who will be with him!
Hello sophiejade 89, when I was diagnosed in August following the initial shock I was taken to another room with the specialist urology nurses and given time to collect my thoughts and ask any questions. I was also handed a Macmillan 'prostate cancer' pack which has been very useful. I recall it was all a bit of blur at first. I asked for all copies of correspondence to be sent to me to keep a track of what was going on. Sending best wishes to your dad for tomorrow. Best wishes, Graham.
