Hi. I have recently had my bladder neck enlarged after urine retention left me in A and E with a supra pelvic catheter installed for a month. I am self dilating now for a week and yesterday after 2 attempts I failed to reach the bladder. I contacted nurse who told me relax and cough, but still no luck. can someone tell me what I am doing wrong

We don't know what you're doing, so it would be difficult to know if you are doing anything wrong. You're best bet is to ask the nurse to teach you, or discuss with your GP: 10 minutes with a professional would be far more useful than hours spent on a forum. Honest!

Hi I self dilate I often have to push very hard to get into bladder ,so push has hard as you can stand you will get there
