Hi,
I'm new to this forum but not to the online community as I have renal cell carcinoma which is locally advanced. I am on pembrolizumab and Lenvatinib and responding well. Treatment started late April.
A few months ago I started having pain in the back of the head, sometimes bad enough to need painkillers but at other times barely noticeable. I had a CT scan in early August followed by an MRI later August. It appears to be a non functioning macroadenoma of just over 1cm.
I was referred to a university hospital for follow up as my local hospital is not equipped for neurosurgery if needed.
I saw the medical team on the 8th of December and am scheduled for a pet-ct scan on the 15th. They are also arranging an appointment with opthalmology but this hasn't come through yet. I must admit I was hoping for the same day for both as it is a long journey.
I would appreciate any information or advice on any of this from those of you that have already been through this.
Thank you
Vicki
