Has anyone had HIPEC treatment for peritoneal cancer?
My husband had recurrent bowel cancer and is waiting for the biopsy results to confirm peritoneal cancer, the surgeon has recommended the HIPEC surgery. Does anyone have an experience of this procedure?
I understand it will be roughly a 16 hour operation and a 3 week stay ion hospital?

Hi LJ5 and welcome to the online community
I'm sorry to hear that your husband is waiting on biopsy results to confirm peritoneal cancer having previously had bowel cancer.
I haven't had this operation, as I had a different type of cancer, but I noticed that your post hadn't had any responses. If you type 'HIPEC' into the search bar in this group you will find a few older posts which mention it. You could have a read of those and respond to any where you think the poster might be able to help you further.
Wishing you both all the best
x
