I have seen the oncologist this morning and received unbelievable news. The CT shows absolutely no signs of cancer! The oncologist said he has never seen this before! I asked him if he had the correct notes in front of him, and he scrolled up the screen and confirmed it was me! I will now be monitored by 3-monthly blood tests. We just can’t believe it! My CA125 blood cancer marker has gone up from 18 to 27 but he says normal is around 35.
Don’t know what this means for another recurrence but it is a great pre Christmas present.
I only had 4/10 chemo cycles this time around and refused PARP inhibitors because I had been so unwell with chemo this time. Looks like I made the right decision.
