Is there anyone out there who has had a gladsectomy, has large bladder retention and is catching urinary infections regularly, 10 in 18 months.
Recently bladder retention has got worse and now self catheterising every day and I get heart palpitations while on Tamsolosin.
consultant offered alternative medication which may also give heart issues and other side effects, since self catheterising is relatively easy I am considering just accepting this treatment for the rest of my life. I am 63.
Any advice?
Hi Turninia
Constantly getting urinary infections must be very unpleasant.
I'm not a member of this group but noticed that your post hadn't had any replies yet. Responding to you will 'bump' it back to the top of the discussion list again.
I hope your hospital team can come up with a treatment that doesn't give you side effects.
Thank you, I know there are very few people with my issue even my consultant said that he does not have many patients similar to me so I am not surprised I have not had a reply.
Thank you for bumping it up the list.
