I am a 53 year old male.
In 2016, I noticed a strange like sore on my penis and was refered by my doctor to the hospital Urology Department, where a biopsy was performed and I was informed that I had Dysplasia. I had a circumsision and things were normal for around 6 years.
Then midway through 2022, I noticed the same sort of sore appearing on my penis and I left it till January this year to go and see my doctor. He made an appointment at my hospital for investigation.
Around 3 weeks ago I had a biopsy to remove the sore from my penis.
Yesterday, I spoke to my consultant at the hospital and he informed me that I have penile Carcinoma in Situ. He told me the condition was rare.
He informed me that I will return to the hospital for Laser treatment to treat the condition.
I have to admit that I am confused about the condition. Therefore I was hoping there would be somebody here that could give me some information.
I have googled the condition and get mixed messages, where it is Cancer and its not Cancer.
Also if someone could tell me about the laser treatment and what to expect.

As you've not had any replies to your post, I've found this information from Macmillan describing penile carcinoma in situ and it's treatment. It states "if there are pre-cancerous cells in the top layers of the skin, this is called Tis or carcinoma in situ (CIS)."
