Hi husband diagnosed 5th August. Needs glansectomy and lymph node removal. Told today not having surgery til October. Seems long wait with aggressive cancer. Is this normal length of time? I am concerned partner. I also on Macmillan site but I have Alk positive lung cancer. Thanks help
Hi Holmans
I'm sorry to read about the delays your husband is experiencing but I don't know if this is normal or not for the type of cancer he has. Does he have a CNS to whom he could voice his concerns? If not, you could post your question in the ask a nurse section of the online community and one of the specialist nurses should be able to let you know if this is a normal time to wait or not.

Hello, I am not sure if there is a ‘normal’ length of time. I first saw a urologist in January my glansectomy was In March, I had nodes out in May. I did have several appointments and scans between January and March.
the thing that surprised me was that I had the op in the afternoon then sent home the next morning.
