My brother was diagnosed last March, he was fortunate enough to have whipples procedure, they removed the tumour plus 20+ lymph nodes which 2 were positive. He had 6 months of flofirinox, which really took its toll and he lost lots of weight. He’s had 2 fu CT scans which were done 3 months apart and visits to his oncologist for fu appointments, his last appt was on Friday with good news of no recrrence. He’s now been put on 6 month CT/fu appointments with his oncologist, who’s been absolutely amazing, he’s gaining weight and has started to exercise to build his body back up and he’s off on a well deserved holiday next week. I am so proud of him and his wife because it’s been the most awful year for them both and the family has a whole……good luck to everyone on this journey. I know it’s hard, just support each other, enjoy the good days and listen to your body, if you need to rest on days you feel absolutely terrible then rest (because to be honest with you that is all you will be able to do) and you family will understand ….The support in this group is amazing thank you xxx
