New here but struggling with finding a comfortable bra and wondered how many other women have experienced this following a whipples procedure and what they did to overcome it
Hi Bookworm47c77a my cancer is different to yours, but I had a similar problem after having radiotherapy to my chest for my lung sarcoma. I am a large breasted woman, so going braless was not an option, but my radiation was right on my bra line and anything touching it hurt! I had to ditch the normal bras I was wearing, and instead wore t shirt type bras, that you pull on over your head, that have no clasps, no underwriting, but are made from a stretch cotton. I found that by going for a size bigger than I would probably need also made it more comfortable. I still wear the same style now, and only very occasional wear the traditional bra style, my radiotherapy was 10 years ago.
Thank you for replying chellesimo , is there a particular company you buy from please? I have tried some like you describe but still struggle with the pressure of the band
I got mine from matalan, but I know you can also buy them from amazon. Some are more stretchy than others, and do try a larger size, I find they still give me enough support but are more comfortable around my ribs.
thank you so much chellesimo, its very kind of you to help me
