Hi Is it normal for a cancer patient be given Fentanyl patches and oramorph ? Also Mum has a pacemaker is Fentanyl safe to take ?

I don't know if being prescribed Fentanyl patches and oramorph is 'normal', as I didn't need painkillers for the type of cancer I had, but please do get your mum to speak to her consultant or cancer nurse specialist if she's concerned about what she's been prescribed and whether she can take it due to having a pacemaker.
