Hi everyone, i have now been informed that my stage 4 of pancreas and liver is a strain of neuroendocrine, does anyone have experience with this and if it is better or worse so to speak than the normal pancan? I know it's a rarer cancer but i'm reluctant to trust google to give me info while i'm waiting to see the oncologist? Thanks in advance
Hi Alboater
I am sorry to hear that you have had your diagnosis of neuroendocrine cancer, involving your liver and pancreas.
My own cancer was different to yours and as with other rarer types of cancer it may take a little longer to get a response on here. We do in the meantime have the Support Line available from 8am-8pm daily if you wanted to talk to one of the nurses.
I have found some information that may be of help and will pop the links below. Although it can be tempting to google and naturally you want more information, it is better to get it from the regularly reviewed and trusted places.

Neuroendocrine cancers | Cancer Research UK
We do also have a forum on here specifically for NET's so it may be worth posting in there.

Of course the best person to talk to would probably be your CNS or consultant however the links may give you some info in the meantime.
Good Luck
Jane
