I’ve recently had a Whipples procedure and started chemo. My normally mild lichen planus (mucous membrane in the mouth condition) has flared up and now makes it hard for me to talk or eat. It’s also very painful. Has anyone else had this experience?
hi Sidley welcome to the forum and sorry that you have not had a response as yet. Chemo of any kind can play havoc with all our systems including our mouth and it is not unheard of for people to experience mouth ulcers or a change in sense of taste. I wonder if it is worth having a chat with your chemo unit and asking them about this as they may be able to offer some advice or recommend something to use to help alleviate some of the symptoms for you. Hope that you manage to get some relief and soon.
