Hi everyone , new to the group and need support ...

My partner who is 48 was diagnosed with stage 4 in Oct 2021 ...it has now gone everywhere ...two brain tumors,  liver ,one kidney and his left hip is crumbling away :( ...

Also to top it all has a water infection and covid :(

Back in Sept he found out he had high calcium levels and this is where we are now ...

Well the thing is , we do not live together and  I have never seen him take his oramorph or any nurses what come to his home , or any letters as was told by a Doctor over telephone

...its not that I do not believe him in any way , as I see evidence  , by weight loss and headaches ...

It's just very hard as no one to talk to about it ...he is such a strong person ...

Thank you for listening xx

  • Hi and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.

I'm very sorry to read that your partner has pancreatic cancer which has spread and it must be incredibly difficult for you not having anyone you can talk to about this.

As you know the online community is divided up into different support groups so I hope you don't mind me suggesting that you also join and post in the family and friends group which is a safe and supportive place to discuss your worries and emotions with others who have a loved one living with cancer.

If this is something that you'd like to do clicking on the link I've created will take you there where you can join and post in the same way as you did here. You can also join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.

It would be great if you could pop something about your partner's diagnosis and proposed treatment into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
