Hi All,
three months out of whipple surgery and coming to the end of FOLFIRINOX chemotherapy.
I wondered what everyone’s thoughts and experiences were around radiotherapy?
thank you in advance
Hi Squodgeling
My husband has just finished 6 cycles of FOLFIRINOX and had a scan yesterday to see if the tumour has shrunk away enough from a blood vessel to enable him to have surgery. Radiotherapy hasn't yet been mentioned as treatment, so I don't have any experience of this to share with you. However, I noticed that your post hadn't had any replies yet so responding to you will 'bump' it back to the top of the discussion list again.
I've done a search in the group looking for previous posts which mention radiotherapy and found the most recent one was from Orangeblue31 . I've 'tagged' them into this reply and hope they pop on and share their wife's experiences with you.
While you're waiting for replies, it would be great if you could put something about your diagnosis and treatment into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
Wishing you all the best with your radiotherapy
Anne
