Hi everyone. I’m a 31 yr old woman and I’m experiencing symptoms of pancreatic cancer and I’m terrified. I’m actively pursuing a diagnosis but here is what I am experiencing:

-Dull ache in my right side. It comes and goes seemingly randomly (this has been ongoing for a few months, I assumed associated with drinking since I would notice it the day after have more than 2 drinks, so I’ve been cutting back on alcohol. I have not had a drink in a month and I am still experiencing this discomfort)

-Soreness along my left rib cage when pressure is applied (I’ve also noticed this for a few weeks)

-Feeling full most of the time (recent development, past few weeks), I’ve totally lost my previously ravenous appetite.

-Heartburn/Indigestion (recent development past few weeks)

-Burping/Feeling nauseous after eating (recent development, past few weeks)

-I experienced drenching night sweats for a month or two about two years ago.

-Occasional twinge under my right shoulder.

-Stool that sometimes floats and is sometimes yellow. This is totally intermittent.

Given all of this, I’m coming here to see how people successfully secured a diagnosis. And I’m curious to know if anyone else experienced sometime similar to what I am and has received the diagnosis.

Thank you Heart

  • Hi

I'm sorry to read that you're worried that you might have pancreatic cancer and you want to know

how people successfully secured a diagnosis

My husband went to see his GP after his urine turned dark and he began to look jaundiced. The GP sent him straight to A&E with a referral where, after a CT scan of his abdomen, a tumour was found. He didn't have any of the other symptoms that you have, although his stools floated for a few days whilst he was in hospital having a stent fitted and a biopsy taken. The biopsy confirmed the cancer diagnosis.

So your first port of call should be with your GP. Hopefully, it won't turn out to be pancreatic cancer.
