I was diagnosed with stage 1 endometrial cancer in October and had a laparoscopic hysterectomy in November, 10 days after my operation I was told that the cyst on my left ovary which was removed also contained cancer. I had another operation on 16/1/25 to remove lymph nodes and tissues. Thankfully I have just found out that no cancer has been found in the lymph nodes and tissues samples. I am starting preventative chemo in a few weeks. I am currently struggling with recovery after the second operation and I also have some nerve damage. Has anyone else suffered nerve damage and if so how long did it take to repair?
A 9 hour surgery which involved a full hysterectomy in January 2023 resulted in nerve damage to my right foot. It has been improving ever since and that process has not plateaued as yet. Have been on Amitriptyline throughout and am still hopeful full healing is possible. Hope you too have a postive result from the healing process.
