My sister has advanced serous ovarian cancer. Just had an operation but it was unsuccessful as the cancer had spread too much. Major laparotomy for nothing. What hope now? Maybe a second opinion?
Drug therapy only way forward but don’t know where to get advice
Hi Nikki H and welcome o the community and this group.
I’m sorry to read that your sister’s operation was unsuccessful-that must have been difficult for you all to hear.
I wasn’t sure what you were looking for when talking about drug therapy, but this link here will take you to information about getting a second opinion.
Has your sister’s doctor given a plan for any treatment going forward?
This link gives information about possible treatments for advanced cancer
I hope this might help as a starting point for you.

Hi Nikki,
I’m so sorry to hear about your sister. I’m facing a similar situation with my surgery on the 2nd September. They have told me if they can’t get it all they will leave it and sew me back up. Her MacMillan nurse should be supporting her and her oncologist should be advising her on what she can do next.
I supported my chemo treatment (plaxatacal and carboplatin) with Cleever (aka goose grass, sticky willy) water there’s videos online of ways to make it. Above all try and stay positive for her.
love and hugs
Shelley
