Have had an ultrasound for a huge lump 10 x 10cm in abdomen. Now waiting for an MRI and Consultant.
It's not know yet if its ovarian, uterine or just a fibroid. Hence I've posted in both Uterine and Ovarian forums.
I'm 68 and for the past 3 years I've felt particularly unwell, been diagnosed with Pernicious anaemia as well as Fibromyalgia. I have dizziness and fatigue. All the time I've had pains in hip joint.
20 years ago I had a riding accident which resulted in pins and plates ( titanium) in my r.hip for acetabular fracture internal rotation and fixture.
Now just 3 weeks after I discovered the huge lump in tummy , my right hip has become extremely painful when bend my knees to crouch down or forward or weight bear, standing up, but no pain walking.
I am wondering if I in fact have ovarian cancer and had it for some time, and the pain in hip at the weak spot, has metastatic ovarian cancer.
The consultant contacted me on Thursday evening ( strangely ) and is trying to get a CT scan urgently and he wants to do the dreaded hysteroscopy which I've said only under GA.
I am worried, I feel really ill..
My husband left me in February and he is trying to get me out of the house and make me homeless and penniless. My solicitor is tantamount to useless and incapable of defending me even though I am on the Suspected Cancer Pathway which I've told him and given my doctors address to get the proof.
Today the place I keep my old horse have told me I have to move her as they have given the field to friends! My horse is partially sighted and aged 21 and I was going to have to have her put to sleep in October now I have to bring it forward to next week.
I am ill and heartbroken
Hi
I am so sorry for everything you are going through. I don't have ovarian cancer but have breast cancer.
It doesn't matter what kind you have the stress and worry is the same.
Telephone the macmillan nurses or chat online they are very supportive and informative.
They maybe able to direct you to the support systems you need right now.
You sound like you need emotional support for not only your health issues but you personal issues also.
I wish you well in your recovery and hopefully you find a good supportive lawyer. Xx
Hi
I am so sorry for the horrible situations you are finding yourself in. Each one alone is hard to deal with bit combined must be overwhelming.
a previous reply suggested researching what support McMillan can offer which is a very sensible suggestion. A couple of things that occurred to me are to change your solicitor if you feel that he or she isn’t capable of acting in your best interests and also to tell your husband that while you are dealing with your current health challenges you will not be leaving the house. Perhaps also enlist the support of mutual friends in reinforcing the importance of this? Finally I suggest sharing with a trusted friend your concerns and (understandable) anxieties and ask for their help to walk the journey with you. It is ok to ask for help at times like this.
my best wishes for your journey. God Bless. Xx
