Hi, I was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer early September this year. I have to say that I am petrified that I am not going to get through this. Before I started my chemo in October I was told that it has spread to my lungs and that the first 3 rounds of chemo was to clear it from my lungs. I have had 2 rounds of chemo. Over the last few days my chest has been feeling heavy and I’m worried that these 2 chemo sessions haven’t worked and that it’s building up more on my chest. I feel well in myself, I can walk every day, I don’t have a cough or any shortness of breath. I feel the same as I did before my chemo started apart from the heaviness. I know it’s impossible to predict anything and I have to wait for my next CT scan to know exactly what’s going on but has anyone had anything similar happen to them.

  • Hi  and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.

It's natural to be scared about the future when you've had a cancer diagnosis but hopefully you'll find the ladies in the group helpful and supportive.

I'm not a member of this group but I noticed that your post hadn't had any replies yet. This might be because it had slipped off the first page so responding to you will 'bump' it back to the top of the discussion list where it'll be easier to see.

While you're waiting for replies, it would be great if you could pop something about your diagnosis and treatment so far into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
