Hi folks ,Visited the gp with abdominal bloating snd pain in right side .Have had a few appointments with different symptoms muscle spasms and weight gain .Gp arranged blood tests and ultrasound done the same week .Ultrasound picked up large ovarian cyst and arrangements made for cat scan .Had appointment with gynaecologist oncologist I have a massive 30cm cyst .Blood test came back normal .Complex cyst removal and full hysterectomy in the next four to six weeks .Feel like iam walking about with a time bomb inside .Radical sugery required full abdominal surgery is needed .Have been advised seven to ten day hospital stay .Iam nearly 71 with no history of major surgery terrified and scared anyone had similar experience .Regards

I too was terrified before my surgery as I’d never had any done previously but all the nurses and doctors were very reassuring and helped calm my nerves.
I had a huge tumour too, I looked like I was nine months pregnant! I had that removed, a smaller one on my right ovary, a full hysterectomy, appendix and sample of lots of other things. Stayed in hospital for a week.
it wasn’t until after that they officially said it was stage 3 but I’d had high CA bloods throughout so as yours are normal try not to worry about what it may or may not be until you know for sure then the oncology team can make a plan with you for going forward.
