Hi my mum has just been diagnosed with cancer , it started in her ovaries and has spread to stomach , she is going for a meeting to discuss chemotherapy treatment tomorrow , are there any questions she should be asking ? Any advice would be appreciated
Hi Backero
I'm not a member of this group but I noticed that you hadn't received any replies to your post. I realise it's too late now to suggest questions for her to ask but I'm sure she'll have had plenty.
How did she get on. I know they have to tell you all the worse-case scenarios but I've just come to the end of chemotherapy for another type of cancer and found it no where near as bad as I thought it might be.
Wishing you and your mum all the best

Hi Thankyou for your reply I’ve only just seen this post struggling to get use to this app, hope you had a nice Christmas, my mum goes tomorrow to start her chemotherapy so everything crossed it does the trick , they have told her she will lose her hair but all other side effects depende really on the individual
No problem Backero
I started to lose my hair about 2 weeks after my first chemo (beginning of July) but it's growing back and I now have enough to just about cover my scalp
Apart from that, I didn't really have any other side-effects so count myself very lucky. I hope your mum will be too.
