Hi, I am due surgery on wednesday. My head is all over the place! Too much reading on the internet. Any advice on things to take into hosiptal would be really helpful. Also how quickly is it possible to be back home?
Good luck tomorrow!!!!!!! It's great that you are getting surgery. I recommend avoiding reading anything on the Internet, especially if it makes you fearful. I found it useful to take my own pillow to the hospital, as well as slippers, flip-flops for the shower, a dressing gown, books, and something to listen to. Oh, and earplugs and an eye mask! When you begin recovery, remind yourself that every day you will feel better. You WILL feel better. I had surgery two weeks ago and am walking six miles a day. Walking helps SO much. So as soon as they take out the catheter, try to move about a bit. It will help. Bon courage!!!
