Hi, I have been referred for a TV ultrasound which is on 24th August. I have discomfort in the pelvic area, predominantly on right side, and a feeling of being full and unable to finish meals. I feel bloated but not visibly obvious and have had issues with both bowel (2 x colonscopies with no issues reported) and recurrent blood in water (again unable to establish why). I am now thinking they could be symptoms of OC as opposed to actual bowel/bladder matters. I feel tired and have no 'get up and go' and have intermittent back pain and an achey feeling in right knee.
Should I be worried? Im 47 and perimenopausal.
Thanks

Hi Kate
My mum has been having similar symptoms - mainly discomfort on one side, lower stomach cramps, loss of appetite and almost constantly full up. A 5cm complex cyst was found in her left ovary and she also has uturus prolapse. We did the TV privately as we were shocked to be honest and really worried. She then had an MRI and CT which the doctors have said don't show any other issues. She has now been referred for surgery to have a full hysterectomy on 13th September. The doctors have said its likely its benign or borderline, s chance it's malignant. If it's borderline She will only have the op and it's unlikely she will need chemo. All of the organs will then be sent for a biopsy which will take up to two weeks. Up until now, the whole process has taken 3 weeks since her referral which I think is pretty quick.
I know it might not make a difference me saying so bht please try and not worry as it may nit be as serious as everyone initially thinks. I myself have gone through a scare of breast cancer a few years ago and all of the stress and worrying did not do me any good . This forum has incredible members willing to share their stories and support.

Hi Kate, I would ask your GP for a blood test and in particular ask for your CA125 levels to be checked, that’s how my diagnosis was found. Also if you can’t eat as much as you used to, plus lower left back pain. Hope that helps.
Hi
I thought I'd provide an update in case it helps anyone she ended up having a full hysterectomy, her omentum and appendix removed keyhole surgery. We are now waiting on biopsy results x
