Hi
Am new here. Have grade 1 a or 1c1 clear cell ovarian cancer. They arnt sure which. Am due to start chemo shortly and petrified. Have dreadful veins and dont want a pic line or anything but prob will have too.
Any way hi to you all
You will both be fine! YES chemo is scary and not pleasant BUT you will have great support from you chemo teams, consultants, nurses and above all your friends and families! There is no such thing as a stupid question about anything and keep talking about your feelings and worries. Make sure you get time to rest. I have just finished cycle 6 days ago and I feel crap BUT I know I will start to feel stronger in a few days and my side effects will disappear. Your teams will really monitor you closely and if it gets too much say so. I did after my first treatment so my consultant reduced my dose and I have managed a lot better. There are always options! Please try and stay positive! I imagine the chemo as ninjas killing the evil cancer cells as it works through me lol. Sending you both much love, Sue xxx
Dont worry, I am sure they are letting you recover from the hysterectomy first. You will need to be strong for the chemo. I know its tough but try and focus on getting yourself physically and mentally strong for the chemo to come. Rest up and do things you enjoy, ot may be a while before you can do lots when the chemo does start xx
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
