Hi Everyone,
I would very much appreciate any advice please. My mother was diagnosed with Overian Cancer around 3 years ago stage 4, she has gone through hell and back including chemotherapy, visits to a local hospice and ongoing bouts of nausea that appear to have no reason.
Today my mother is still battling on and has recently been given 4 amounts of radiotherapy as ‘something’ small has appeared on a CT scan.
She is very low emotionally and just completely had enough of feeling unwell. I have tried everything to reassure as best I can but it feels like the hospital is keeping information from us about what might actually be going on.
She is feeling sick all of the time and has headaches, I feel it is likely to be connected with the Radiotherapy therapy of three weeks ago but obviously can’t be sure.
any help or suggests would be massively appreciated.
Hi,
So sorry to hear about your Mum - she’s obviously a tough lady to have been battling this cruel disease for so long.
It’s so important on this journey to have faith in your medical team - and it sounds like you’re losing yours. If you haven’t already, you might want to think about talking to someone on the Macmillan helpline for advice on what best to do to ensure information is being shared with you. Perhaps your GP might also be able to help regarding the sickness, headaches, etc.
Very best wishes to you both,
love Bx
