Hi my name is Kerri and I’m 42 years old . joined just today after having my diagnosis last Thursday . I am stage 3 b low grade serous ovarian cancer . I had my surgery first and now waiting for appointment to see medical oncologist to see if I’m having chemo x
My daughter had mild autism but she can be hard work . School are being really helpful , they have got a lot of educational aids to help teach her all about cancer . She will never open up to anyone so hopefully this will help her . I’ve told her I have cancer and I’m just truthful with her that it may come back and sometimes people die from it . To be honest with you she seems more bothered about how much battery is on her iPad bless her . I worry constantly about if I ever have to have the talk of it comes terminal . I have nightmares about that and tear up thinking about it x
Mine is the same rather watch YouTube.
I know everyone is different but is it possible to live a normal life with this cancer for many years ,I can't seem to find much other than it can come back
I am a member on a few Facebook groups and some of the ladies on there have had it many years . From what I can gather there is a high risks of reoccurrence and that’s why we are monitored closely for the first year . My doctor said I had a 50/50 chance it would come back in a year . So even though I’ve had a Clear scan I am now petrified over that . I suppose everyone journey is unique x
I'm the same, I have a serous tumour 1c 10 years ago and now this. Just wondering where it can come back to next and how many times it can come back
I’ve heard from a few ladies that have had a few re occursnces . I suppose it’s something no one knows or can’t predict . I was told I may need more surgery down the line and chemo so they may just treat the reoccurrences as they happen . I know if it comes to another organ then it will be stage 4 . I’m 3 b at the min x
