Hi Morti welcome to the forum. I had the same about 2 months ago with post menopausal bleeding it certainly took me by surprise. Like you was referred under the  2 week route and have had biopsies taken which show very moderate Oestrogen stimulation to the lining of the womb with not other issues which is a relief. Im telling you that to try and offer some degree of reassurance that this could yet be something perfectly treatable and not as grim an outcome as you are thinking and I do understand why you are thinking that as I did as well.
