Hi all. i'm numb, scared, don't have a clue what i'm doing or what to do. I was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer of the peritoneum on Friday 26th. The staff at the hospital were amazing. However i'm so scared of what happens next. I have to have another CT scan today to make sure it has not spread to my lungs and other areas. I'm trying to be strong for my partner and the rest of my family but i am totally heart broken. just can't stop crying. Feel useless.

  • Hello again. I forgot to mention when you have a minute, it would be great if you could pop something about your journey so far into your profile as it really helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time,

    Hugs, B xx

  • Hi Jennibel,

Sorry you find yourself here, but I hope the Ovarian group is able to offer you some support.

I don’t know how similar medically our types of cancer are, but what I do know is that the emotions and unanswered questions you are battling with are ones that all of us on this journey can relate to.

I hope, like me, you will find it a little easier, once your tests and diagnosis are complete and your medical team have outlined a plan for you, to take the next steps one at a time.

Meanwhile, the advice I would give is don’t feel you have to wear the “brave” face all the time - it’s OK to cry when that’s what you feel you need.

I hope your CT scan brings some positive news for you, and it would be lovely to hear how you get on if you’d like to post again.

    Love Bx
