Chemo side effects. Emetophobe.

Hi, I have just started chemo last week. I know it might sound silly, but whenever I feel sick or nauseous I suck on a polo mint, and it seems to stop. Obviously everyone is different, but I hope this helps.

The hospital where you have your chemo will probably give you the anti-sickness pills to take for 3 days after chemo and after that if you feel nauseous.  It probably sounds odd, but I found eating something made me feel less sick, and basically filled my fridge with sheets of cheese (like Leerdammer or cheddar) and had one whenever I needed it.  It really helped me.  When you are actually in hospital having the chemo the nurses will look after you.  They are brilliant!
